Hi Charles, thats the sort of thing that interests me too and a very important thing for the preservation of the GBR. Generally there are good grey water units which recycle rain and sewage water for use on gardens etc. Some islands bring water across from the mainland if they’re close enough but most have desal plants. Good to hear your views on the environmental side of things. Ben

Interesting to read about Green Island. I’ve been to Cairns a couple of times but never thought of going to Green Island. It sounded a bit too touristy but after reading your blog, I might go there next time I have a chance.
I’m quite interested in the sustainable aspect of that island and all the other islands that you visit. What do they normally do for water when they don’t have a desalination plant? Do they bring the water over or how much do they do to collect rain water and reuse it?

I love the photos of the beaches, sunsets, the sail boats and activities on board the boat. Enjoy your writing also. I tried to make the video play but could not. I wanted to see it so will try some more later. Wish I were there.

Hi Gollikat
I always read them and when I get a chance to I reply also although with everything else going on it’s just finding the time to do it. As you’ve posted three I thought it only fair to reply to you….a repeat customer?!
There is just about enough time to complete all of the work required to get the blogs up…I mean a man can survive on 6 hours sleep a night can’t he?!
Videos will be along just as soon as I can get a day aside to complete them….with music etc.

One more idea –
Although it is nice to hear about personal dinners with world-renown chefs on a private cay, it is not the kind of thing that most people would experience if they were to take a vacation there.
I think alot of people would like to know what it would be like for them, the average person. Can we have some of that too please?

And by the way Ben, do you actually read these comments? Do you ever reply to them if so? Thanks.

Just a suggestion to those who plan your itinerary: Perhaps allowing more time for Ben & Bre to explore someon their own and more time between trips would allow for more interesting blogs. Ben could get more creative with a little more time.

IDEAS – Use more types of media, answer some questions, post / take interactive polls, make videos, share his personal thoughts and ideas… Just some suggestions.
When you run him constantly, he doesn’t have time to properly do what it is you hired him to do – tell the rest of the world about his adventures!
